Carlo van Minde (31) is a member of our Digital Support team. He started at Pellikaan in May 2018 as BIM coordinator. Carlo is the top athlete within Pellikaan. Literally, because from 2003 to 2014 he was a top gymnast. From 2003 till 2006 he was even Dutch Champion in the juniors! As a senior he participated in several European Championships and World Championships, and in 2010 he became Dutch Champion at the vault and high bar.

A year after completing his construction studies, Carlo ended up at Pellikaan. “The click was there immediately “, he says, “Pellikaan symbolises what they stand for: sports and construction. So I felt right at home.” He sees it as a challenge to convince his colleagues to make certain choices and apply them within a project: “At Pellikaan we continuously strive for high quality, more efficient construction and minimisation of failure costs. With innovative tools and digitisation, we can give them new insights, so that we can prevent mistakes early (in the design phase) and achieve the desired results”.

The future offers Carlo a lot of good, and enough challenges. This applies to both business and private matters, because this BIM coordinator has recently become a father. And that too will lead to many new insights … His great passion for sports and construction certainly comes in handy at Pellikaan!
