Washington Leisure Centre
The new Washington Leisure Centre offers a range of facilities including a six-lane 25m pool and a learner pool with two hydro slides, a four-court sports hall, gym, squash, sauna and steam rooms. In addition, there are a soft play area and an additional multi purpose hall suitable for high-level trampoling training.
After completion of the centre, works started externally. Outside there will be a 100 space car park and 5-a-side football pitches, as well as an attractive central hub linking the new facilities with the surrounding town centre. The new location and design of the centre means that it provides a very welcoming view, visually inviting the people in Washington to come in and enjoy the facilities.
The Leisure Centre replaces the older centre, which remained open until the new centre was opened.
