This week, the Sparkhill Pool and Fitness Centre was officially opened by former Olympic athlete Colin Jackson.\u00a0The centre features a training pool, learner pool, gym, dance and cycle studios.<\/p>\n

From the website of operator Places for People Leisure: “In Birmingham for instance we worked very closely with Birmingham City Council and the local community groups to open Sparkhill Pool and Fitness Centre (…) and respect its historical past. The final version was very much influenced by them.\u00a0The Centre is unique in its design and is sympathetic to the history of the old baths which used to sit on the same site.”<\/p>\n
