Meet Robert!<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text el_class=”body_text” uncode_shortcode_id=”872574″]Robert van Os has been working at Pellikaan as a cost estimator in the German department for three years. Alongside his role at Pellikaan, he is also active as a teacher.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Robert teaches as part of a vocational study which focuses on obtaining the contractor\u2019s diploma. \u201cI teach subjects such as cost estimation and project acquisition. These classes take place on Tuesday evenings and usually run from September to the end of May.\u201d<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not all. Robert is also a teacher for a construction training institute, where he teaches \u201cSite Manager Small-Scale Building Projects\u201d and \u201cEstimator\/Planner Small-Scale Building Projects\u201d. These courses are usually held once or twice a week on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons and evenings. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing this since 1992, and I still enjoy it immensely!\u201d<\/p>\n

In 1992, Robert was also running his own business. \u201cI owned a cost estimation consultancy. We mainly focused on calculating costs for building projects, from residential developments to hospitals and office buildings. Additionally, we handled property handovers, organising pre-delivery and final inspections with the residents. I always found the personal contact with people to be incredibly rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the crisis in 2018 brought an end to his business. \u201cI carried on by myself for a while, but it became too much for me. I eventually decided to return to an employed role. I already knew some people at Pellikaan, and from there, things moved quickly. Everything was arranged within a week.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Robert particularly appreciates at Pellikaan are his colleagues. \u201cI really enjoy the openness and collaboration within Pellikaan. It feels great to achieve strong results together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robert\u2019s schedule is packed, but when he finds time, he likes to get on his bike and enjoys race cycling. He has also been active as a football coach for many years. \u201cMy children used to play football, and I was their team coach. Even after they decided to stop playing, I continued coaching.\u201d<\/p>\n

With his expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm, Robert is a valuable member of the Pellikaan team.<\/p>\n
