Gosling Sports Park Welwyn Garden City

Pellikaan first handed over the original tennis and bowls halls at the Gosling Sports Park in 1990 and extended the club in 1994. A luxurious new spa and wellness club is the result of the latest redevelopment by Pellikaan Construction in 2008. Times have changed since the early nineties and the former bowls hall is expected to generate more income after this refurbishment.

The former bowls hall was transformed and now offers a 17 metre spa pool with a swimming lane, four water jet stations and fountains for neck massage as well as six treatment rooms and four heat therapy experiences: a Laconium, an Indian blossom steam room, Japanese salt room and Finnish sauna. The Gosling Fitness facility remained open up throughout construction.

Along with the 100 station gym, 3 exercise studios, spa and sports retails units and refurbished entrance and café areas the new facilities are a fantastic upgrade for the Gosling Sports Park which is hoped to increase membership levels over the next year. Other facilities at Gosling Sports Park include indoor and outdoor tennis, a 170m dry ski slope and athletics and cycling tracks.

Penny Arnold, CEO of Gosling Sports Park said:
We have enjoyed working with Pellikaan Construction on this scheme. Their cooperative attitude throughout the project has resulted in great new facilities which were completed on time and in budget. Like our members, we are delighted with the new high quality spa and fitness facilities.
